Even More Petabytes
On December 8th I posted about the fact that isoHunt was claiming to be tracking just over a quarter of a petabyte of torrents.
Today they are claiming to be tracking 0.311 PB of data, an increase of roughly 50 TB in roughly 35 days. For those of you who haven’t had your morning coffee yet, that’s more than 1 TB of content per day. That’s a lot of content no matter who does your accounting work.
I can only assume that this is going to grow (or maybe is already growing) in standard hockey-stick fashion. Are we at the inflection point? Past it? Wish I had all the historical data, as it would certainly be interesting to examine the first and second derivatives of this curve.
